Ros is a registered Public Health Nutritionist with the Nutrition Society of Australia, co-lead Jamie’s Ministry of Food, Lecturer at Edith Cowan University and Chair of the National Nutrition Network – Early Childhood Education and Care. Ros is also Co-Chair, World Public Health Nutrition Working Group: Sustainable, Resilient Food Systems for Healthy Diets and, Key stakeholder representative involved in the development of National Allergy Strategy minimum standards for anaphylaxis management in school and ECEC and a committee member of the Vegetable Intake Strategic Alliance. Ros has 13 publications, over 50 successful abstract submissions (she presented 26 at national and international conferences); $550,000 (since 2015) of research funding; supervisor of Honours, Master and PhD students. She has expertise in community nutrition intervention design and development to improve population health outcomes and is a keen advocate for improving the food environment in the early years sector. Ros believes a collective approach, alongside relevant nutrition education, policy and accreditation guidelines will see nutritional intake optimised for the 1.4 million children attending Early Years’ settings.
